Eduras Autonomy Awarded Multi-Year USAF Contract to develop LIDAR Navigation System.
Eduras Autonomy LLC has been awarded USAF contract in the amount of $1.8 million to develop and deploy its LIDAR / Photogrammetric Alternative PNT Navigational Solution for Navigation in GPS Denied Environments.
New York – Eduras Autonomy LLC (A Viele Solutions Company) announces it has been selected by AFWERX for a Phase II contract in the amount of $1,800,000 focused on the development and deployment of a next generation real-time Alternative PNT Navigation system capable of fusing pulse-based LIDAR, and passive Photogrammetric data into a real-time navigational aid for GPS-Denied environments. Thereby addressing the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF). The project extends on previous work The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, changing the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small business and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution. The DAF began offering the Open Topic SBIR/STTR program in 2018 which expanded the range of innovations the DAF funded and now on July, 29th, 2024. Viele Solutions will start its journey to create and provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of the United States of America.
