Dagger Unmanned LLC awarded $110,000 contract from USAF for Design Development of High-Speed Delivery Pod
New York – Dagger Unmanned LLC (a Viele Solutions Company) announces it has been selected by AFWERX for a Phase II contract in the amount of $110,000 focused on the design development of a next generation high-speed delivery pod, capable of being launched at speed up to Mach 1 to provide on-time delivery of cargo and secondary unmanned vehicles to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF) for contested logistics and resilient basing operations. The Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX have partnered to streamline the process by accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, changing the pool of potential applicants by expanding opportunities to small business and eliminating bureaucratic overhead by continually implementing process improvement changes in contract execution. The DAF began offering the Open Topic program in 2018 which expanded the range of innovations the DAF funded and now on December 16th, 2023. Viele Solutions will start its journey to create and provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of the United States of America.
